As grant recipients, nonprofit organizations are required to properly track expenses, both direct
and indirect, and provide financial reporting. Each grant has different requirements, and what’s allowable and unallowable will be defined by the funder. In this workshop, we will cover the following:

Many smaller nonprofits often lack adequate resources to provide sustained long-term planning in fundraising. Oftentimes, they find themselves in “survival” mode where every grant opportunity may be worth chasing. Attendees at this workshop are challenged to build out their fundraising plans to include multiple sources of revenue: a comprehensive development plan that engages all supporters and stakeholders—from funders to donors, sponsors to spokespeople, elected officials and clients, volunteers and other grassroots champions.

You applied, volunteered, and/or want to be part of Board. You get in! Now, what? In an onboarding process you may have been given a lot of information or very little information about your role and responsibilities. Regardless, you may have a lot of questions and not feel confident asking them. This workshop will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers on Board Governance – roles and responsibilities and best practices of a healthy,
effective, and efficient board.
