- Direct and indirect costs
- Allowable and unallowable costs
- Financial reporting

- Workshop attendees will walk away with an understanding of the importance of grant management and reporting requirements.
Workshop Title: Development, Fundraising, and Philanthropy

Description:
Many smaller nonprofits often lack adequate resources to provide sustained long-term planning in fundraising. Oftentimes, they find themselves in “survival” mode where every grant opportunity may be worth chasing. Attendees at this workshop are challenged to build out their fundraising plans to include multiple sources of revenue: a comprehensive development plan that engages all supporters and stakeholders—from funders to donors, sponsors to spokespeople, elected officials and clients, volunteers and other grassroots champions.

Workshop Title: I am a Board Member, Now What?

You applied, volunteered, and/or want to be part of Board. You get in! Now, what? In an onboarding process you may have been given a lot of information or very little information about your role and responsibilities. Regardless, you may have a lot of questions and not feel confident asking them. This workshop will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers on Board Governance – roles and responsibilities and best practices of a healthy, effective, and efficient board.
